from 10 am - noon.

NEW ORGAN AT St. BARTHOLOMEW'S
125 Mackay St
Saturday October 26, 2013
10:00 am - noon
This new installation by Les Orgues Létourneau was delivered in mid-August (actually, during Orgelfest 2013!) and installed and voiced during the following month. It was first used in services in mid-September. (An inaugural recital will be played by Matthew Larkin, Cathedral Organist, on Sunday October 20 at 3 pm.)
Our host for the October 26th occasion will be our member Barbara Hallam-Price, Director of Music at St. Bartholomew’s Church and a well-known Ottawa musician. We will all have a chance to play the new organ, and to admire the way the back of the church has been re-configured to contain the new instrument, which for the first time in many years allows a view of the West Window. We have all seen the artistic rendering of the new organ, along with its specification, on the back cover of the last few issues of Organ Canada - now we can see it in person! Join us at St. Bart’s on October 26th.

John McIntosh: Reesor’s Pieces
Vittoria: Ecce sacerdos magnus

Ecce sacerdos magnus
just before he plays the Britten Prelude and Fugue on a
Theme of Vittoria (which is based on Ecce sacerdos magnus).
The music is available from
the Choral Public Domain Library:
